We offer private retreats by the sea on the beautiful island of Gozo, Malta, in the Mediterranean sea. Gozo offers peace and tranquility, 300 days of sun every year and stunning nature.We offer you a private hotel room with balcony by the seaside, yoga, meditation, hiking, other activities and a tailor-made program fitting your wishes. Retreat groups consist of a maximum four persons, and your host will make sure your program is personalized exactly to your wishes.

Enjoy yoga at sunrise while looking at the waves of Marsalforn Bay. Hike with us over the cliffs and through beautiful valleys and take the time to dream and make new plans. Relax, energize, and enjoy!Each program can be adapted to your wishes. All yoga, meditation, and hiking activities are included. Optional pranayama, reiki and mantra singing sessions can be included in your program.The island of Gozo has a rich history and cultural outings are possible as well. Explore and be amazed by this little gem in the mediterranean sea!We can arrange activities like diving, freediving, kayaking, snorkeling, and supping at extra cost. We have a sample program but we think it is important that you can make any changes you like. Each program can be adapted to your wishes.You can skip a yoga session or substitute yoga for hiking or another activity. Or take the afternoon off and go sightseeing or just relax by the pool, or on Ramla beach.

Sample program:

Day 1: arrival, introduction & yoga session by the sea

Day 2: breakfast, yoga class by the sea, free time, yoga & meditation safari

Day 3: breakfast, yoga class by the sea, free time, yoga or hiking & meditation safari

Day 4: breakfast, day-off, optional group class yoga in the morning and afternoon. This is a day to explore the island, go to Valletta, visit the spa, or going to Comino

Day 5: breakfast, yoga class by the sea, free time, yoga & meditation safari

Day 6: breakfast, yoga class by the sea, free time, yoga, & meditation safari

Day 7: breakfast, yoga class by the sea, free time, yoga or hiking & meditation safari

In the summer months the morning yogo or meditation session is at 7:00. The evening sessions are at sunset. In between there is plenty of time to explore the island.

Yellow Rock Yoga organizes Yoga retreats, Yoga Teacher Training, one-day retreats, daily Yoga classes, and personal training sessions in Gozo, Malta.

Surroundings Description

Our retreat is at Qbajjar Bay and Marsalforn on the island of Gozo, Malta.The yoga sessions will be outdoors mainly and could be anywhere on the island, at the beautiful seaside.The sun is with us 300 days a year, and as you stay in a private seaside apartment you can enjoy the sunrise as you wake up and go to sleep with the sound of the waves.

How to get there by PLANE

Gozo is an island in the Maltese archipelago.

First fly to Malta, Malta International Airport (MLA). There is only one airport so you can't miss it. Our taxi driver will take you to Cirkewwa Harbour (included in price). Board the ferry there and 20 minutes later we will pick you up in Mgarr, the harbour of Gozo.

Monique is a yoga teacher and yin yoga teacher trainer from the Netherlands, who settled in Gozo because she fell in love with the island many years ago.She has specialized in outdoor yoga and knows all the great spots on the island.Monique studied Hatha Yoga at Saswitha Teacher Training College for Yoga and Philosophy for three years, then completed second teacher training in Vinyasa in Malta, a 300-hour teacher training including Yin in Austin Texas, and a Yin Yoga teacher training in the Netherlands.

She studied meditation at the New Yoga School of Amsterdam.Monique specializes in energy balancing. Pranayama, visualizations, and meditations are a big part of her yoga classes and her teacher training methodology.She is Yoga Alliance registered (E-RYT 500) and YACEP. Next to that, she studied Ayurveda at Arhanta and plant-based nutrition at the Nutrition Educational Institute (NEI).Monique teaches daily yoga and meditation classes on the island and unique outdoor private sessions at the most stunning locations. She teaches at teacher trainings and retreats.She loves to meet new people, go for long hikes, and to practice yoga together on this beautiful island, sharing knowledge about yoga, Gozo, and a healthy lifestyle.

Nop is a yoga instructor and retreat manager. He also likes to take people out for outdoor yoga and long hikes.Nop will take you out on beautiful hiking and biking tours and personal training sessions as well if you like that and he will arrange your program for you, making sure your retreat is running exactly the way you want it to. He will also arrange your additional activities such as kayaking, supping, diving, freediving or cultural outings. And he will be the one guiding your hatha flow yoga sessions and take you out paddle boarding if you like.
