We offer guests from all over the world a relaxing all-inclusive retreat experience in our quiet and welcoming retreat center. La Crisalida Retreats offers a holistic approach to health and wellbeing through our programme of activities that include yoga, life makeover workshops, meditation, rebounding and more, combined with tasty nutritious plant-based food and juices.

The yoga classes are arranged to offer the chance to experience a variety of styles and approaches. The experienced teachers will guide you through each session, making hands-on adjustments where necessary. They are also happy and available to chat with you outside of the classes. We offer different teachers and different styles of yoga across the week. Most classes are Hatha based, although we also offer Yin, Hatha Flow, Restorative, Vinyasa, Anusara, and Kundalini.Once per week we also offer a Yoga Nidra session, a specific type of meditation designed to reconnect you with yourself and to relax and heal.Our classes are suitable for people ranging from beginner to intermediate level and combine the specific health benefits of yoga.Whatever your experience of yoga to date, you are welcome to attend all or any yoga classes and do as much as is right for you at that moment.

La Crisalida Retreats is a health and wellbeing center located in the quiet seaside town of Albir, north from Alicante on the Costa Blanca, Spain.We offer guests from all over the world a relaxing all-inclusive retreat experience in our quiet and welcoming retreat center. Our center offers a holistic approach to health and wellbeing through our programme of activities that include yoga, life makeover workshops, meditation, rebounding and more, combined with tasty nutritious plant-based food and juices.

There is a weekly programme of activities on offer. The timing and order of our programme of activities changes, depending upon the day of the week and the time of the year, but across the week there are about 2 yoga classes each day.All activities are optional so you can do as much or as little as you want. A new programme is provided each week.

Most days activities start at 8 am, when you can enjoy your yoga class (90 minutes) or a guided walk. This is followed by a lovely plant-based breakfast at 9.30 am. At 10.30 am there will be guided walk in the local area (to the beach, or into the nearby natural park) OR a yoga class, followed at 12.15 pm with rebounding, legs, bums, and tums, or aqua aerobics (summer only). There is a 30 minute meditation class most days at 13.00. Our plant-based buffet style lunch is served at 13.30, followed by a welcome chat for new arrivals or siesta time. The afternoon activities start again at 15.00, which might be a cooking demo, juice demo, workshop or exercise class (depending upon the day). There is a further class at 17.00, which could be an exercise class or yoga, followed by dinner at 18.15. The evening class starts around 19.15, with a Yoga Nidra, workshop or guided visualization, or a guided walk (summer only). Find the inner peace and leave feeling refreshed, rejuvenated and more like the authentic you.

We have two multi-share studio apartments available. One apartment can sleep up to four people (all same gender), in two sleeping areas. The other apartment can sleep 3, in two sleeping areas. All beds are single beds. You can book this accommodation if you are traveling with a group of friends, and also if you are a single traveler, looking for the most cost-effective option. We will match you with other travelers of the same gender. These are spacious Spanish-style studio apartment, with whitewashed walls and bright cushions. Both apartments also contain a comfy seating/TV area, en-suite bathroom (shared between the people in the apartment) and a small kitchen. This accommodation includes air conditioning for the summer and heating for the winter. These apartments open up onto a secluded courtyard area containing our outdoor magnesium pool (heated in the winter). At the other side, you will find a small outdoor garden area with seating and a sunbed for some personal quiet time. The price listed is for one individual.

If you would like to have your own private bedroom, with a double bed, in a 2-bed shared apartment (with one other person) then this is your option. You can book this with a friend, OR if you are a solo traveller (and we will match you with someone of the same gender). This is a spacious two-bedroom apartment, containing a seating area with TV and DVD player, a small kitchenette, plus an ensuite bathroom (for the two of you to share). The apartment contains air conditioning for the warm summer months and central heating for the cooler months. These apartments are located next to our second outdoor pool area, with sunbeds, and close to our yoga terrace. The price listed is for one individual.

Food Description

We believe that the starting point for rejuvenation of the body and mind is through the foods that we consume. Therefore, we offer an abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables, and whole foods at La Crisalida Retreats.We serve a plant-based (vegan) diet, packed full of nutrition to give your whole system support and a well-deserved rest.We use seasonal products and where possible products that are grown or sourced locally, so the menu is typically Mediterranean, with a twist!

All dishes are prepared and cooked on the premises, with care and loving attention from our talented chefs. We use lots of herbs and spices to bring flavor and variety, plus serving a selection of dishes with a variety of textures, colors, and flavors.We also offer you the opportunity to try juicing – this is included in the cost of your retreat. You can choose to juice for one meal, one day or one week, instead of eating.Each day you decide whether you want to eat or juice, you have the flexibility to make your retreat personal for you.All the meals (or juices) are included in the cost of your retreat. We serve three meals every day, as a buffet, so you can select from a wide range of dishes, sampling each dish. There are always lots of different dishes to try! All food is served fresh, prepared and cooked on the premises, with care and loving attention.

The foods that we do not serve include sugar, bread, dairy products (including milk, yogurts, and cheese), eggs, salt, coffee and tea (except herbal and green teas), alcohol and sweets. These foods all place extra stress on our body systems, so by cutting them out for a few days or longer, the body has the opportunity to rebalance itself. We do serve vegan alternatives including rice milk or soy yogurts. La Crisalida Retreats can cater for most dietary requests for allergies or intolerances, including gluten- or wheat-free, coeliacs and people with nut allergies. Please let them know at the time of booking if you have a special dietary request. Most of our food is naturally gluten-free, although occasionally we do serve couscous or a couple of other dishes containing gluten. Each meal is nutritionally balanced, so will include vegan sources of protein and a carbohydrate option. You are encouraged to drink at least 3-5 liters of water per day whilst at the retreat as this helps with the elimination of toxins and helps to keep the body well hydrated. Filtered water is available for you around the retreat.There is also a wide range of herbal teas, including green tea and hot water so you can make yourself a hot drink whenever you chose. Fresh fruit is always available.

Center Description

An oasis of tranquillity and well-being on the beautiful Costa Blanca in Spain, just north from Alicante, in a small seaside town called Albir. The town itself is relatively quiet, with tree-lined streets and has an unhurried air; perfect for relaxation.

Surroundings Description

The retreat is located in Albir, a small seaside town on the Costa Blanca coast, in the Alicante province of Valencia, Spain. The town itself is relatively quiet, with tree-lined streets and has an unhurried air; perfect for relaxation. We are located off the main road, up a quiet side street, within 15 minutes stroll to the beach. Shops and cafes are also close by in case you forget to bring something! The coastline is stunning, with azure blue sea and a backdrop of mountains. The beach, the Playa del Racó l´Albir has been awarded the prestigious EU Blue Flag classification, denoting its excellent facilities and cleanliness. It is a lovely place to relax and swim, all year around. There is a lovely promenade that you can walk on which stretches all the way up along to Altea (a beautiful old hill town which is well worth a visit).From the beach, you can see Calpe rock, the Penon de Ifach.

Surrounding Albir is the Sierra Helada, a protected nature reserve.The walk through trees along to the lighthouse is beautiful and you are rewarded at the end with the opportunity to spot bottlenose dolphins. Although Albir is just north from Benidorm, the town cannot be more different, with very little nightlife apart from restaurants and cafes. The history of Albir goes back to Roman times when there was a settlement close to the seafront and you can visit one of the settlements during your stay.

How to get there by PLANE

La Crisalida Retreats offer a free collection and drop-off transfer service from Alicante airport by shuttle bus, please note that a minimum of a 3-night stay applies. Flights must arrive and depart between set day hours for the free transfer, and you must arrive at the retreat before 9 p.m. Simply inform La Crisalida Retreats about your flight details, they require 72-hours notice to arrange your transfers. If you would prefer a private transfer, please let La Crisalida know and they can arrange this at extra cost.

How to get there by TRAIN

If you are taking a train into Alicante, La Crisalida Retreats can organize a free shuttle transfer from the train station to the retreat for set hours during the day. It is using a shuttle service. This service is shared with other people (not retreat guests) and has several stops before arriving at the retreat, the drive can be between 60 to 180 minutes. Let La Crisalida know your arrival (and departure) train times, they require 72-hours notice to arrange your transfers.
