Certifications
Students who complete their subsequent trainings are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).The Yogshala is certified and recognized worldwide through Yoga Alliance USA and covers 200 Hours Yoga Teacher Training Course. The school also provides an opportunity to practice the acquired skill towards the aim of a deeper connection with oneself as well as with students.The aim of this teacher training course is to create a solid basis for you in order to help you pursue a career as a certified yoga teacher. The training focuses on quality in all aspects, ranging from accommodation, a healthy diet, and a team of experienced teachers.
The course covers a wide range of topics including the 65 asanas, the five basic meditation techniques, three types of pranayamas, shatkarma, body alignment techniques, how to teach individual and group sessions, yoga business ethics, setting up a yoga school, holistic approach to learning therapeutic yoga teaching, and many others.Rishikesh Nath Yogshala follows a curriculum that is in compliance with the international standards of Yoga Alliance coupled with the expertise of renowned yoga gurus.The prime aim of this course is to teach physical and spiritual practices that lay down the foundation to become a well rounded and successful yoga teacher.The main five modules of the course include yoga teaching techniques, teaching methodology and yogic lifestyle, philosophy, anatomy, and physiology, as well as practice.
Yoga Teaching Techniques
The yoga teaching techniques cover principles such as asana, pranayama, shatkarma, bandhas, mudras, meditation techniques, and mantra and chanting.Asana is the yoga postures, pranayama is the breathing technique, shatkarma is the cleansing techniques, bandhas is the locking of energy, and mudras is the channeling of energy.You will also learn the benefits and contraindications of the yoga asanas which are the pranic energy channels of the body, the Pancha koshas (sheath), the five elements of the universe, and the seven chakras.
Teaching Methodology
The objective and aim of this module are to learn the art of teaching as well as the business and marketing aspects of yoga.This is done by cultivating good quality teachings like timing, class planning, the intonation of voice, asana sequence, and the art of adjustment. The trainer will be refining your qualities to teach in small and big groups of students.
Anatomy and Physiology
The lessons will include the study of anatomy and physiology. The module will focus on general movement and human body terms as well as the systems of the body such as the respiratory system, the muscular system, the endocrine, and the nervous system.
Yoga philosophy, Lifestyle, and Ethics for Yoga Teachers
You will learn the definition of yoga, yogic diet and lifestyle, paths of yoga (Jjnana, Raja, Bhakti, and Karma yoga), biography of important yogis, the eight limbs of Patanjali yoga sutras, the study of an ancient text (Bhagavad Gita), and Ayurveda.
