Namaste, I am Gitta Durga Wick, a Yoga Teacher and Holistic Coach, specialising on trauma, addiction, depression and anxiety. I had no ambitions to become a Yoga Teacher, but all the life changing transformations I experienced and my commitment to asanas guided me to feel, live & be Yoga.It was in Berlin, spring 2002, when I met my first Yoga Teacher. Throughout my life I had always been athletic so Yoga seemed very appealing to me. Never did I think it would be as life changing as it has been.After inviting me to one of her classes, I felt I wasn’t “clean” enough physically & mentally for Yoga. She convinced me anyway and from the very first moment, I was hooked. I felt how disconnected I was with my mind & body, which inspired me to turn my life around and dive deep into the abundance of Yoga.

I removed all toxic products & materials from my life; lost 11 kg in weight with the help of fasting, I practiced the 5 Rites/Tibetan daily for more than a year, I sat in the front row of every single class I took and digested all the knowledge & wisdom that was given to me.At this time I was going through a bad break-up so I decided to reach out to friends for some guidance. A very close friend put me in contact with the Yoga Vidya Ashram in Bad Meinberg for Yoga Teacher Training Courses, it was here my passion & lust for Yoga intensified!After calling the Ashram my “home” for more than 3 years, absorbing all the wisdom & knowledge like a sponge from my favourite teachers such as; Narayani Rabinovitch, Swami Atma, Leela Mata and many more, I transitioned to leading the Yoga Centre in Hamburg.In that one year I got the chance to deepen all that I’ve learned in Bad Meinberg. Since then Yoga is part of my daily life, and I mean Yoga, not necessarily just Asanas.

She went through various Hatha, Asthanga, Vinyasa, Bikram styles until Yin Yang Yoga arrived in Thailand and was fascinated by its relationship with Traditional Chinese Medicine and when she returned she studied Yin Yoga to deepen more about the energy body and fascia and created Vibrant Yoga which is a fusion of Yin Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and movements from the Taoist tradition. "From Yang, flowing with the rhythm of the Universe, to Yin, navigating within ourselves and from Yin to Yang as the cyclical rhythms of life, we will embrace the duality of existence and find balance. We flow without resistance from action to surrender, from movement to stillness, from darkness to the light. We connect with our Feminine and Masculine energy, open the energy meridians and activate our internal organs ". Her movements are an exploration in all directions, natural, and fluidly chained that at times are reminiscent of dancing. Her service in this life is to bring awareness of your physical, mental, energetic and spiritual body so that people can achieve a more vibrant and colorful lifestyle.
