Gyan Yog Breath focuses on personal attention, small groups, individual feedback, and highly-qualified teaching staff. All teachers, gurus or masters of yoga here hold Ph.D. or master degrees and some have been teaching all over the world (China, Germany, France, Switzerland, USA, and Brazil).
The entire team is 24/7 reachable to make sure you feel safe, happy and understood. At the Info round (the evening before course start) you will be given all necessities like a new yoga mat, two-course books, cleansing materials, one mala, t-shirt, and Rudraksha Mala.
All yoga levels are welcome from beginner to advanced. As one of the oldest and most experienced yoga schools in Rishikesh, Gyan Yog Breath has established an excellent course curriculum and knows the importance of building an accessible bridge between East and West.
All course materials, props, and teacher training programs are registered and approved by Yoga Alliance. Students who complete their subsequent training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).
Certification:
Upon completion, you will have a yoga diploma for the 200-hour yoga teacher training, which is recognized by the International Yoga Federation and makes you eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. The course is also certified by the Indian Yoga Alliance for 200-hour yoga teacher training. After the successful completion of the training, you can register with Yoga Alliance. For registration, you need to login to their website, and after filling the needed information, you will get registered.
This course is created for individuals with aspirations of becoming yoga teachers but is appropriate for any individual wishing to further expand their yoga practice. Cultivate happiness, self-love, and positivity in a yoga program deeply devoted to spiritual growth and understanding.

Hatha Yoga Asana:
Yogic postures comprise four hours of the daily schedule. You will be introduced to the various asanas in a systematic manner with a progressively increasing level of difficulty. Once the basics are mastered, asana flows, adjustments and subtle aspects of breath & awareness will be brought into focus.
During the 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training you will:
- Build up a huge knowledge of postures
- Increase your strength and flexibility
- Learn all main asana names in Sanskrit and English
- Become confident in teaching postures
- Learn some more advanced postures
Adjustment:
You will learn how to adjust asanas and understand how adjustment can deepen your practice.
You will cover their benefits, modifications, and cautions. We use different props such as bolsters, belts, pillows, and blocks to maximize the effect.
Pranayama (breathing techniques):
You will learn techniques to work with vital energy centers in the body with the goal of becoming proficient enough to teach these skills to your students.
Shatkarma (cleansing techniques):
Yogic cleansing practices will be integrated into the daily morning schedule and will work in conjunction with the asana practices.
Meditation:
You will cover a range of meditation techniques that will help build concentration and focus in your daily practice. Techniques include Om chanting, Chakra and Power of Transformation meditation.
Mantras (chanting):
A range of mantras will be taught including the Gayatri Mantra and many more. Find your inner harmony in these sessions.
Anatomy:

- Besides the body systems of the human body, you will gain practical and theoretical knowledge of:
- Which muscles contract in a certain posture
- Which muscles relax or counter-act in a certain posture
- How does a posture affect the muscular system
- How does a posture increase flexibility
- Which muscles are affected in which posture
Yoga Philosophy:
This class will focus on introducing you to the basic philosophy, concepts, and history of yoga. It will cover the various traditional philosophies and viewpoints, insights from modern research and ways in which the essence of this holistic life-view can be integrated into a modern lifestyle.
We will cover:
- Yoga Sutras: parts of the Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra
- 8 limbs of Ashtanga yoga
- How to overcome Panch-klesha: the five causes of pain and miseries
- The philosophy behind Raj yoga and Hatha yoga
- Parts of the Bhagavad Gita
Teaching Methodology:
This class will give you the necessary building blocks to devise your own yoga class. Learn how to motivate your students by teaching inclusively to the range of abilities that you may be faced with.

Yoga teaching practice:
Teaching Practise is the last practical part of the course. You will:

Emotional Blockage Treatment:
Emotional Blockage Treatment is a sacred healing therapy that aims to implement emotional freedom, peace, and detoxification.
Through pressing certain points in your body, accumulated energy blockages are removed and the energy can flow at its maximum again. Accumulated energy blockages result in depression, anxiety, and various physical and mental diseases.
This module will help you to free yourself from past pain and repetitive negative thoughts.
You will also learn how to give this treatment to others. Gyan Yog Breath believes that a clear mind and a healthy body are the foundation of a happy and peaceful life.
Ashtanga Vinyasa:
You will learn the primary Ashtanga Sequence, Sun Salutation Variations, Jumps, Counter-Poses, and Benefits.
Ayurveda:
The Ayurveda Classes cover the Introduction to Ayurveda, Doshas, Gunas, Dietary Recommendations, Health According to Ayurveda and Personal Consultation.
